    Hi,

Whenever I tried to boost ranking of my newly built web sites, google buried them deep in SERP. On the other hand, if I made a blog with 3-4 posts and a couple of social bookmarks pointing to it, google maintained it somewhere in the middle of the first 100 results, which is certainly better than 300+ position. I'm frustrated. I can't understand what the heck google wants me to do to get a web site to the top 10 for relatively low competition keywords. I submit articles, make blog comments, make submissions to web directories, all manually and at a slow rate. Yet, I always end up with the same result - failure.

Can someone please explain how to promote a new web site to make it appear on the first page within a month or two?

Ok, I'll be more specific. I noticed my site had been dropped in SERP after I had submitted a link to a free link directory (and it went live) and made a ******** blog comment. Before that I focused only on article marketing and social bookmarking. So, could these two links be the reason of a sudden drop?

    Interesting,

As you have learned, it is nearly impossible to figure out the methods Google uses for they too are scrambling to keep ahead of this fast moving target called SEO. I have almost given up trying to stay on top of Google, I no sooner get in top ten, and boom, overnight I see a drop off and I didn't change or tweak anything, so go figure. I am certain Google is twisting in the wind and tweaking system constantly to shuffle the deck of results, trying to push people to PPC which I am sure must be declining.

    Success to all,
