what programs best for working with php

i usually do all my websites with frontpage 98. i know its old but thats the one i learned on but anyway it doesn't seem to want to edit pages in php or at least i can't get it to.

is there any editing program that is listed here that i can use to edit php. i've noticed that alot of the websites that you can download here are doing them in php. i have no idea what that involes except that my editing software won't handle it and i need a different one.

any suggestions please? remember i prefer to have one that is listed here to get. thanks.

A lot of people use Dreamweaver for all of their Web needs.

If you want an open source solution, try Eclipse.
