    Hi everyone,

I got a list of about 3000 email addresses and they are all real people, I got them for a company that I worked for (with the companies permission) , the people on the list are all home owners with family, aged 35+ , all in 1 city or very close nearby but I am not too sure of what product I should promote to them. I am not too sure if the money making niche will be useful as they are either retired or working a stable job. I am thinking of something related to health or fitness.
what would you do with a list like that ? all suggestions are appreciated. thank you !

Just thinking outside the box, what about you create a parenting forum/blog and put some content on it. After your happy that it is presentable, send an email to the list requesting they sign up to your local parenting forum.

Alternatively, you could look at the the characteristics of the target market. Consider their psychographic, demographic and segmentation. You should be able to answer questions about these people such as "are they fat" if so, sell them a weight loss opportunity, "are they getting a divorce" ect...

A list of people in the same geographic are likely to share similar characteristics, find them and you will bank... HARD!

thanks ! that gave me some ideas,
I am thinking maybe I should do a review blog of some restaurants in the city, I could just find reviews on urbanspoon and change it around a little. but the thing is do I monetize it with adsense or should I promote an actual affiliate product.

Personally, I don't like to monetize too quickly. I think building a community is much easier without ads and when the community is strong, hit them with a banner of two. You can then build your own list from the website and hit that ist with affiliate offers.

Something that is kid proof since mainly they must already have children of there own or grandchildren. How about one of those bowls that whenever they drop it, the food inside never falls out.

Ya I agree and now I just have to find the suitable niche ... this is the hardest part I think.
how long did it took you to build your page/blog until you think it is ready ?
