I'm planning to buy a new pc for gaming and IM purposes.. what do you think is the best processor to multi task? AMD or Intel.

This is the specs that im planning to buy
    Core i3 540(3.06GHz, 4MB L3 Cache 1333 MHz FSB)
    4 GB DDR3 Memory
    Nvidia 9800gt

then i saw a thread on our local forum that AMD is more cheaper and better for gaming. Now i'm having a second thoughts ...

call the stores and ask the techs if they play games, and which chip is better.
don't ask a clerk, ask the techs what they're using at home.

that's what i do when i want a true answer.

AMDs are better for gaming. I forgot why but a buddy of mine said for some reason Intels new technology makes them a pain in the ass to play with.

BUT i do believe this kid uses his computer for some intense gaming. He has Quad video cards in his computer with water cooling...

who the hell needs that??? really....

AMD hasn't really been serious competition to Intel since the Athlon64. Core i7 Quad ftw. :)
