    Hello newbies and other members,

I have been seeing a lot of this lately (and of course experienced it as well) and I am sure it dates way further back than before I had ever joined Black Hat World (BHW).

One of the biggest problems on this forum is that there is a wealth of information but no real roadmap. When vague questions get answered such as, "Where do I start?", "How can I make money?", "Is that a good idea?", the questioner's generally get responses along the lines of, "just read the threads in the forum", "everything you need is here just read and learn", "you should just give up now".

Although it is true that everything you need to know is already here in the forum, a little guidance is always appreciated and would go a long way in member retention. Yes, I am sure that many (if not most) of you do not care so much for this there are those at the top who would disagree with you. Just saying, "that just leaves more for us!" is not going to get very many nods of approval.

Thank about out. Did you get to where you are today because you came up with all your own ideas and never used anything on any of the forums here ever? If you are at least a Jr. VIP you are already answered for. If you have even one "thanks" count on your profile then you are already answered for. If you are not at Jr. VIP and your "thanks" count is 0 and you really never got anything out of the forum but you have been succesful with internet marketing then why are you here? Sounds like a troll to me. Anyways, I do not think any successful IMer here fits all of those tags so at one point or another you gained something of value from a fellow member. Someone else shared their knowledge and you learned.

Better than to squash a newbie why not just point them in a good direction? We all know their is no "right" direction. There are tons of ways of making money here it is easy to get lost in it all. Sometimes newbies are not just begging for your methods to make money. They just want someone "experienced", thats you, to point them in the way of prosperity. I simple link will do. If you do not have one in mind then use the first one I offer below. It can be your go-to link for whenever you think a newbie just wants to be spoonfed.

On the other hand, there are newbies out there who really just want to be spoonfed. Lets see, what is BHW to them? BHW offers many different resources, however, the most popular seems to be Black Hat SEO. To someone on the outside this means less work, more/faster results. So what do they do? They come here, browse for a few minutes, get lazy, create a thread and make a post with one of the questions I mentioned at the start or something along those lines.

It is natural for this to happen! Like I initially stated, regardless of the wealth of information, there is no real roadmap here and what everyone wants is a GPS for instant cash.

For the newbies that read the title and are wondering what-the-heck you are about to find out. You can bare with me a little longer and gain an understanding of what it takes to gain respect (you will realize this later) from an experienced member or (as I suspect many of you will do) you can just skip down to where it says "newbies, this is what you want" in all caps with exclamation.

Now just because it is a naturally occurring problem does not justify it. Eventually, if said newbie decides to stick around awhile longer, they head to the downloads section and either go for ebooks that will never get read or software that they could never properly utilize. Maybe a read a thread that says something along the lines of "$50/day Facebook/Squidoo/Bukisa/Youtube Method" and when they don't see promise after a day or two (even if the methods says it takes at least a month to see a return) they give up and may even give another method a shot. Most of the time they will never get further then trying something out and giving up and they go away. Maybe some of this sounds familar to a few of you. Maybe you went through these exact steps. Either way, you had to do a ton on your own and it pisses you off when a ton of newbies just want to be spoonfed. It took real work for you to get to the top and they don't seem to want anything to do with it. All they see is the summit not harsh path that leads to it.

Well, if you are still with me then you must believe that there is at least some truth in some of what I say. Now take this as truth:
-One day, those newbies will have something of real value.
-If we, at the very least, just point them to the thread I mention below they will be eternally thankful and willing to share.
-If they leave because they were told to give up WE ARE ALL MISSING OUT!

You may be worried that too many informed members will saturate your methods? Bull! You had better know by now that there is NO METHOD (we will not discuss CSing here) that can stand the test of time. Eventually you will have to change up, innovate, or take up new methods. In time everything gets saturated. The best way to prepare is not to hoard everything to yourself and squash newbies but with a ton of members that have all been raised well here at BHW and are more than willing to share. Why are they willing to share? Because one time a long, long time ago (you don't even remember/care) you pointed them to a thread you may have never even looked at. No, I am not just talking about those methods by harro. It could be any link you thought was worth pointing a newbie/whoever to. Because of this they made their first $1 online or their easiest or the first money that promised a prosperous future. Either way, they were on top of the world because of it and maybe they sent some thanks your way or even a PM. Regardless, they took that little method that earned them $1 and then expanded it and made $20, then expanded it and made $50 then $50/day then $100/day then $300/day.

And just because you have not experienced those results does not mean that you can/will not or that it will not happen for others! It will! Its all in the forums...

NEWBIES, HERE IS WHAT YOU WANT!!NEWBIES, HERE IS WHAT YOU WANT!!
NEWBIES, HERE IS WHAT YOU WANT!!NEWBIES, HERE IS WHAT YOU WANT!!
Here is the best thread to start making money:
    HTML:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/25290-harros-easy-money-methods.html
Its a compilation of a bunch of good threads by harro. Although they were all started years ago the info there is still true today. Also, you can get started on many (I think all) of the methods without spending any money. Yes, there are tons of programs that will help make even this methods easier/faster but my advice is to learn how to make money without spending any first. Once you can do that then invest that money back into programs that will help automate your methods.

Keep in mind, the threads in the links have been around for years but everyone seems to skip over these, even though they are stickied! (naturally right?)

Just a bit of advice, make sure to follow each link in the compilation thread and post a comment (something along the lines of thank you, I will start on this method right away) so you stay subscribed to each thread. This will help you navigate back to them from your User CP. This does not mean try every method all at once! You are going to have the same overwhelming experience! Just subscribe to each thread but CHOOSE ONE METHOD!

Another thought, everyone comes here to learn black hat seo because they want to do less work and get immediate results. It takes a ton of work to make money online. You also first need to have a solid understanding of seo in general to really take advantage of anything offered in the Black Hat SEO forum (with exception to the link I provided). Even though I already mentioned to just choose one method and stick with it I know a ton of you will wander. In reference to BHW you would be considered babies, in that you are new to the world. Every shiny new thing you see you go after and feel like you must have it! Chances are, if you are new to BHW you do not know much about even White Hat SEO, thats why you went looking for black hat methods.

What this generally leads to is the conclusion that even with this great product/service/ebook/software your limited knowledge (not to be insulting but fair) will never allow you to properly convert this "shiny new gadget" into cash. My advice is to go through the White Hat Seo forum first and learn everything you can learn from there before ever wandering into the Black Hat SEO forums. Once you start contributing to the forum and getting thanks you know you are ready for black hat seo. Also, keep in mind that there is a whole section in the main forum that is dedicated to making money.

After utilizing all/any of the methods provided by harro you can head over to the "Making Money" forums. The great thing is you can make money without every having to apply SEO. You also do not need your own product/service/website. Such methods are discussed in the threads and there are plenty of new methods discussed daily in the "Making Money" forum. I will not provide a link because I really want you to visit the thread I provided. Give those a shot and you will be ready to understand the more modern methods. You may even be able to apply twists so they work for you better.

In case you would like a road map for white hat seo, here you go:

    Domain Names & Parking
Learn all about domain names. Where to buy cheap info domains, domain name investing, parking domains ect..

    Link Building
Learn how to build & get links

    Web Hosting
Learn who has the best hosting deals, and learn where to purchase offshore hosting.

If you can make helpful contributions to all of these topics then you can move on to... programming! Not black hat seo just yet.

A word of caution. Like I mentioned above, there are all these "shiny new gadgets" that do all this great stuff. A lot are free or cheaper for being a member but some can be quite expensive and even with the cheap ones you will realize that there are tons of them. Before you are ever able to properly use some of the more advanced software (really any of it) you should wet your feet in programming. I have seen several members purchase some great, powerful software that is easily a money maker in the right hands only to turn around and try to sell the license for a loss. No matter what the reviews, how many people rave about it, if you do not have the fundamentals down nothing is ever going to make you money but there are tons of people who are more than willing to take yours. Also, never (EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER) purchase a method, even if its from a member here and a ton of people can vouch for it. Why would you purchase a method when I have provided you with several for free? Regardless how many people saw great things about it, keep your money.

If you have not made any money in Internet Marketing then you should not be spending any money. Learn how to make cash without using any and then you can invest your profits into services/software (never methods) that will automate your work. Remember though, I mentioned that programming was a fundamental step.

You should definetly have a basic understanding about coding before really getting into some of the Black Hat SEO. Although it is not shown in the frame (not that I can see), BHW actually has a programming section:
    HTML:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/f40-programming-web-design/
The link that I provided above will show you a several forums all regarding a different programming language/topic.

Again, do not just make a post expecting to be spoon-fed. You need to bring something to the table (virual/figurative table that is). Download AND READ some ebooks on programming. If you already know what programming language/topic from the link above you want to get into then great. If not, php is an obvious place to start. Keep in mind, a solid understanding of general coding goes hand-in-hand with good black hat seo. If you can show someone that you made an effort to learn something and you are just having trouble understanding a concept you will find members that are more than willing to help you. This is really true in any of the forums here. Rather than just asking for help, show everyone what steps you have taken (that means takes some steps on your own first) and how/where you are stuck.

That's all I got for now. Well, it really is all here. Regardless of whether you like it or not when someone says, its all in the forum just read, they are essentially correct. With the methods outlined in harro's threads you already have everything you need to quit your day-job and never have to answer to another boss, drive the car you really want to drive, move to the place you always wanted to be and even live in the house you always knew you would live in.

YOU JUST NEED TO TAKE ACTION AND STICK WITH A METHOD!

    Kind Regards,
    killxp

Oh yeah, none of this was directed to any member newbie/VIP/whatever. Just in general. Also, I tend to get carried away. Hope it all helps.

Please leave feedback whether you are new or an admin. I will be updating this first post with any helpful feedback and continue to answer questions posted.

    ***DISCLAIMER***
I do not know it all. If I came across seeming to know it all I am sorry, that was never and will never me my intention. Internet Marketing is always a journey, I could always use one more dollar.

That was quite a post. Unfortunately, the newbies who don't ever apply or start a method will never read it. They are too lazy to read such a lengthy post. lol

Nice, looooooooooooooong post. Motivational to new people - if they ever read it.

Sadly most newbies will jump for the "how to make $100 fast and instantly" thread in broken english.

The thing is, I never came to BHW to find out how to make money. I came here to refine and share my knowledge of SEO / how to beat Google. It's just a technical support forum for me really. The making money side, it's pretty obvious to be honest. You can make money off anything as long as you rank in Google and join CJ.

I just fell across Craigslist posting method when EAP(X) was at its height. Since then I've moved on.

It seems though as the vast majority on here made their first dollar or thousand via Craigslist. Still a good source for traffic to convert into your free credit report BS, but times have moved on. There's new hypes out there, so get with it. This is why the Internet has so many opportunities to start a biz in a niche that maybe a lot of people are already doing, but in a niche where you can still get your fingers greasy in the cake!

Great post killxp, thank you for taking the time to guide us through some important parts of the forum. I personally enjoyed the roadmap and will be off to look at the links for more info. I agree with the newbie mentality, when I used to recruit and train they want to absorb and know everything instantly, whereas skills, technique and development does take time.
Please try to remember it can be overwhelming for a newbie, and when they finally pluck up the courage to ask a question, they get a sarky response from an experienced hatter, we aren't all wanting to be spoonfed but a little guidance when you are unsure goes a long way.

Some of us get classed as newbies, when we are actually very experienced in business and life, however we may have come to this area of online via other forms of online advertising where we have lots of knowledge. I personally wish to be an "allrounder" in online as my background was in display.

Anyway, thanks again, I hope I can offer help and contribute here throughout my journey.

    Haha, yeah definitely true.

Honestly, I wanted to post this in the Black Hat SEO forum because it would get more attention from newbies there but I didn't want to get penalized for being in the wrong forum as nothing I mentioned really has to do with Black Hat SEO.

Maybe it doesn't have to be read by newbies at all. If at least some of you guys read it and decide to point them to the thread harro made with the compilation of his methods it could help them out in the end.

Like I said, it is difficult to catch them when they are new here. They see all the shiny toys and get distracted and can never make anything work. Hopefully when they ask for help (read: request to be spoonfed) they can be put on the right track.

Thank for taking the time to read!

    Kind Regards,
    killxp

Yeah, so sad. Just make sure to point them to harro's thread when they ask for help as they are certainly headed for failure more often than not.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Yeah, it would be nice. I really wanted to post this in the Black Hat SEO section which is why the title is what it is. Maybe if mod feels like it is OK to move there we could see more results but even if you guys could just point them to harro's thread whenever they ask for help we could have a lot less "OMG I CANT MAKE ANY MONEY, NOTHING IS WORKING" type of threads.

Anyways, thanks for reading through it all.

    Kind Regards,

    Hoorah!!

At least that is one. Only took... 90 views :(

I also agree that anyone that is new to BHW is automatically labeled a newbie regardless of their actual knowledge and background. Could be a professional php coder who had done white hat their whole life and wants to pick up some black hat methods.

Thanks for reading through the whole post. Best of luck!

I have a post touching on this very issue and an open discussion about possible solutions over in the making money>making money section . It is called "The Unviversal guide to making money"...some valid points were made, and I really wouldn't mind some feedback and ideas... Great post here!
