I mean the whole point of this thread is to discuss everyone's comfort zone BUT, the property you showed its for lease? I mean man if you're earning that sort of money, at the very least you need to own the property you're living in. I don't know thats just me. And if you own the property, the costs increase since you have other costs involved in owning a property.

Yeah maybe london is more expensive in terms of nightlife, here I have spent $25k on a night, but that was one really stupid night.

The rest I can't really be bothered to respond to, I realised this is a thread to discuss each persons' comfort zone, me personally if I'm earning $50k/month, I'd try and live off $10k/month and put the rest in savings/investments. The 80|20 rule really sticks by me.

But from the looks of it, you still haven't budgeted for savings or anything like that, and you've reduced your costs from the original post.

If you get to that stage, seriously consider owning assets instead of leasing

Earning $10,000/month is okay in my opinion but it's not wealthy. Even 10x that isn't considered wealthy nowadays.

Is it really like $500 a month for auto insurance in LA? Here in Phoenix for a Cadillac CT6 Platinum AWD($90,000 car) it would cost be around $145 a month for full coverage.

When I was checking weeks ago it was $300-$500 (can't remember exactly) BUT it's because I'm under 25, and was 21 at that time. I'm 22 now and I think insurance drops when you hit 22, and then again 25 - something like that.

When I was 18 I bought a 2011 Hyundai Elantra and my insurance (liability only) was $250 with Geico.

Earlier this year when to LA and rented a car (through connection) and my insurance was technically on an old car that wasn't being used (which automatically transfers to the rented one) and it was $245/Mo. Shit's crazy lol.

I'd feel wealthy with a steady paycheck of $9k monthly. I know that there are guys who make much more than that, but then again, I don't need much.

I get by in Moldova with 400-500 per month, so 1k is pretty good.

To feel wealthy I'd want 2k per day and 10x that in a western country.

Millionaire isn't that big of a deal. Let's say someone files a lawsuit against you...you're screwed. Legal representation is very expensive. When your parents start getting older and they require care...that gets expensive. If you get into a car accident and the insurance runs out...

You get my point. While a million is nice, it's not wealthy. Wealthy means not having to worry about money because its abundant. As a single digit millionaire, money isn't as abundant.

Now if you live in a low cost 3rd world country, that's a different story.

Fair enough. Depends on one's cost of living too. I couldn't possibly live more comfortable on $1m as opposed to $100k. I don't desire a nice car or nice house. I also like to travel third world countries. Even spending more than $100k is something I couldn't do. You add in expenses of parents and what not, and I'm still at endless pool of money ($1m). Of course, others are different. Some people desire a Rolls Royce and a Ferrari, which will eat up their $1m easily and they'll need much more money. So I think wealthiness is not how you perceive others, but how you perceive yourself. I can comfortably live on $15k/year very, very, easily here in the US.

$10K/month would be enough. But there is always something that can be improved.
