    Hello BHW

First and foremost, my apologies if this thread does not belong here, but I couldn't find a more suitable section to post under.

I have been looking for a method to start my IM "career". I have been doing some half-arsed attempts earlier on, but this time I want it to be for real. But I have some questions before starting out, that I hope some of you will answer.

I have been thinking of creating a blog, and ranking it up. But how do you choose a niche? In order for you to write quality content for your blog I guess you choose niches that interest you (having researched the competition and so on, naturally), or am I wrong?

I do have some spare money on my budget every month, that I intend to spend on IM-related stuff (being it backlinks, SEO tools or whatever my method might require). Currently it amounts to ~$60 (not that much I know).

With this budget, are there any other methods that you can suggest?

It might have turned out to be a messy thread. If something is unclear, feel free to ask.

    Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about the section dude. It could have gone into blogging or introductions but lounge is good for pretty much anything.

And yes in regards to your method, starting a blog and putting Adsense on it is an easy way of getting started. Just pick anything that interests you and write about it. A quick search will also guide you to some threads on how to do keyword research. I would post them myself but I'm on my mobile at the moment.

    All the best!

    Thank you for your response
I just read a few threads on keyword research, and it all makes good sense. Are there any SEO tools that you would recommend, or should I not invest in any at the beginning?

Personally I wouldn't buy any tools yet. Use addmefast.com to send social stuff to your site. Shares, retweets etc. It's free. Plus there's a few bots and scripts floating around here to get you addmefast points. But that's just my personal method :) I do hear good things about GSA SER if you know how to use it. I'd save that for later.

Choose a niche that you like enjoy doing with. If you like blogging about food, cars, and etc, I'm sure that you'll be more positive about blogging and earning money.
