The thread title asks it all. More specifically, I'm wondering how I can protect my websites content from being copied. I know I have a lot to learn, but I have the mentality that can't someone just copy my content and paste it onto theirs and schedule it for a past date much earlier than mine so that it looks like I copied their content?

I realize that as my website grows, it would become more important to protect it from threats. I was just wondering what measures do you guys take to protect your website and its content?

Right now all I have installed is a plugin called itheme security, but I'm sure there are other precautionary measures I can take! Any suggestions for what I and other members of BHW can do are greatly appreciated!:)

    Regards,
    wengthemeng

You can try Copysentry of http://copyscape.com to monitor any plagiarism. If the system finds the plagiarism, then send report to you.

You can't stop anyone from copying and pasting your articles on their sites. All you can do is monitor the usage of your articles and make efforts to take down your content when you discover that it has been copied by another site owner.

I wouldnt usually bother with that, it happens all the time, there are quite a few article scrapers, every does it for link building. But yes, services like copysentry would help you guard your content.
