So I was just biting into a sweet, beefy burger, and I started to think (bad idea i know)

What makes it fine for us to kill animals and not humans, since both feel. No, i'm not a vegetatian, and no i don't think i'll stop eating meat. I was just thinking that people kill animals and humans for the same purpose, survival (usually at least).

So being a brainless person, i went to yahoo answers for my, well, answer.
But i had to do some spamming there first, so after that i searched and found this post:
    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090402213759AAyeXIk

Here's one response: "Some humans are animals so its fine to kill both, we kill animals for food
    and humans for self defence."

Most are funny not because of wrong or right, but because of how perspectives can come about to try and end cognitive dissonance.

Sorry if i ruined your dinner (or your murder spree, though you're a cat lover). But i was just trying to bring a meaty post to the lounge, i mean, not meaty, i meant thought-promoting post.

By the way, this post should in no way excite any vegetarian to post stuff like 'killer killer' or anything like that. :)
I just wonder if people put any thought into this, ever. Since we're usually smiling while we bite into, flesh.

I guess this is for the meat eaters.

    You're joking, right?

The reason I don't kill people is because I consider it wrong. Morality is subjective, and everyone can form their own ideas of right and wrong without a divine authority. For some people, religion might be a good way to form a moral foundation, but it's silly to assume that just because people don't "fear god", they are completely devoid of morals.

I love beef...... Asides from that I don't think killing is okay, mainly because we are civilized people and we should be able to go through life without the "need" to kill anyone....

So killing someone voluntarily is as senseless as killing yourself. But hey if you want to kill someone start with yourself and then we can talk about it later...

from an objective point of view there is no big difference between cow meat and human meat, its both tasty (im sure) :p but i think we are instinctively programmed not to want to eat each other because we are social animals and we rely on networking to thrive so why would we eat those we rely on? I think its the same for a lot of animals.
I think there is something cruel and unnatural about the way we breed (and treat) other animals for food in the western world... but we are programmed to be meat eaters. So i dont feel bad about the death of an animal to feed another animal, thats nature.
i think its ok to kill for survival/food, anyone who kills for sport is seriously fucked in the head

I was trained to kill by the military. So it comes natural for me. Sat in trees for a whole day waiting for a head shot on the enemy.

Killing is never right or moral but it can be justified in certain circumstances. By that I mean that if someone close to you is harmed then rage can temporarily justify the death of someone responsible, is it right? Hell no but for someone it can be justifiable.

Oh and killing for other people's ideals is totally and utterly fucking wrong however you try to justify it.

    1. we are naturally omnivores (why fight nature?)
    2. we are the superior species. (survival of the fittest)

we breed and kill animals for food because #1 and we have the ability to do so because #2.
nutrients that we need are in meat, we need it to live balanced lives.
a lion will not hunt another lion for food. it will look for other prey like wildebeast, species not of its own.
no species deems it right to kill its own kind. it will only do so out of self defence/ desperate measures.

but, the way the corporate world treats modern day livestock (cages where they cant even move) +unsanitary disease filled chicken coops. thats an issue that needs to be dealt with.

killing is an action. Actions aren't inherently good or bad. I measure things by their consequences. I personally don't think that the taking of a cow's life has terrible consequences, or many millions for that matter. I tend to measure good in terms of what is good for people. And I think people like a good hamburger now and again.

meat is murder. Tasty tasty murder.
Hey we kill animals to eat them and animals kill animals to eat them and animals kill people to eat them sometimes. Seems fair to me.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go eat some beef jerky (because human jerky is too expensive)

I agree with except "Meat is Murder". Murder is to kill someone or something unlawfully. Killing to eat is simply the law of nature rather it's plants or animals. Therefore, it isn't murder.

im grilling out this weekend. does this make me a psycho/sociopath? i do have a fear of human eating cows coming down from outer space saying something like "its time to thin the herd'...we may still stand a chance, but hopefully they won't join forces with the human eating pigs...
