Hey!

Its saturday so i thought we have a little relaxed discussion about sports. I know a lot of people are here to improve their life and make money. So i was wondering, what kind of sports do you guys practice? And if you don't practice any sport.. why?

I'll start : Currently i am doing about 2 hours of cardio every day (about 4-5 hrs per day on the weekend while working). On top of that i practice Kung Fu and have a passion for skateboarding. I'll try to hit the gym and lift weights 2-4 times a week (2 times minimum)

I'm curious! What kind of sports do you practice and since when?

I practice boxing for the last 12 years. I did go to amateur matches for 8 years, and now I only do practice, because I really like it. And going to the boxing gym is a good way to stay in shape.

Look, right now i'm not practicing any sports because of my busy life, Work pressure etc.One think i want to add that on this digital world people are addicted by technologies, like phone games, watching movies on youtube, facebooking, etc.. People don't have time to practice sports. They are willing to watching movies or playing games on their phone, ipad, etc.

For over a decade I practice Wing Chun (Leung Ting lineage) and mixed this for a year or two with Krav Maga. Eventually I would love to visit Hong Kong or Israel and practice there. Sounds like a fun experience.

Some might not consider it a sport but on and off I practice at the fire range, small arm, Glock 17 9 mm parabellum mostly. I’m no license holder though.

Wing Chun is what i practice as well. Not for a decade tho. Impressive. You must have some very good skills. Did you ever apply them in a real street fight?

I do consider that a sport :p

Well, to be honest. That just sounds like a waste of time. But hey, whatever floats their boat.

Damn, 12 years. That's good dedication! Way to go!

Earlier I used to play Cricket but now only Badminton. Never tried Gym.
You should definetely try out the gym if you have the time & money. Good for your health and you can make some good friendships there. Badminton is great as well. Love to play that :p

I think I would have done good with Badminton if I started at early age. I started playing with rules only in college.

Well, let’s say that I’m no Sifu Kernspecht, but I could handle my own if needed. And streetfight; let’s keep it at the low kicks only while destracting with the arms and hands. One always needs to be very carefull because Wing Chun is very effective, especially against untrained persons, which about 80% off the people are. Krav Maga also teached me to get out of a situation as fast as possible. Hit, hit, get out and live another day...

Which lineage do you follow?

25 years... amazing!
I've done bits and pieces over the years but my main passion is cycling.
How many km's / miles do you usually cycle for?

I love mountain biking by the beach (I can see NYC 6 miles away) and trails all around the central Jersey Shore that is my summer sport. Ride as fast as I can till the sun burns and I head home. Then lifting in the morning bodybuilding is a sport and golf once or twice a month cause my ankles screwed up a bit.

I practice Shotokan Karate twice a week, and Muay Thai twice a week. Plus some HIIT classes, weight lifting and yoga sometimes too. Hitting the gym daily.

For the record I took one Wing Chun private lesson once in Hong Kong with master Sam Lau (first generation disciple of Yip Man), amazing.
