Charon is what you need to check proxy lists.

There's a great guide stickied to the Proxy forum, it's called something like the Dirty Guide to Charon.

And as long as they are anonymous, they will work!

Maybe you can even use transparent proxies. Just install a recent version of awstats or so on your own site and prstorm exclusively with those proxies. Improvement might be, that transparent proxies are not so heavily abused and thus in no blacklist (just a wild guess from my side, but I definitely would check it, since it COULD improve results).

In general: look for HTTP proxies (I don't remember, but don't think, that prstrom can use socks)

Here a little and somehow wild proxy classification:

    1.HTTP
1.1 transparent (your ip is delivered in the request within an extra field)
    1.1.1 post-capable
    1.1.2 only get
    1.2 anonymous
    1.1.1 post-capable
    1.1.2 only get
    2.SOCKS
    2.1 smtp allowed
    2.2 smtp disallowed

    Note
-that email proxies are usually socks proxies.
-that sometimes some ports (e.g. smtp) are closed with socks poxies.
-that numerical hostnames (ips) mostly do not work.
    etc etc

This L1, ... etc bullshit is not really clear to me. Technically, what I posted above is what matters on first hand.
