Hey guys,

I'm making some targets to reach different clients for my seo company... Would anybody here be able to give me list of different niche local businesses that seem willing to buy SEO services.

I know the typical industries like Lawyers, dentist etc ... But I'm looking for different niche businesses to target (for example - "textile company london".. that kind of thing)

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Jake

Worm farmers? Bee keepers? Get out of this mindset or you're bound to fail.

i target stay at home librarians, telecommuting escorts and another especially lucrative industry are the discount heart surgeons.

Literally any business can benefit from local SEO, start contacting them.

Look at a business directory, like a phone book, and start. You will get a sale if you keep at it.

Such a large part of IM that is left out is the sales aspect. Go to them, don't expect them to go to you.

Sales guy says..where do I get leads? I say..."Google." He says, "where on Google?" I say "you're fired."

Lol, beat me to it.

On a serious note, i have been trying cold calling but i think it is getting harder each days, i am thinking of buying a billboard advertising like Indianbill's method.

That can work out great.

Ah, sales are sales. A good sales guy will sell a turd to a waste plant.

SO you want us to do the market research for you and give you our niches? Are you kidding me?

Okay, okay I'll answer your question: Every single local business will buy your SEO package if you know how to sell it! *BAMM* That's the cold, hard truth.. Even the grocery store on the corner or the mobile phone sales place on the other side of the street could need SEO!

I thought this thread was in jr vip. You ruined it Alpha. You ruined my LIFE. noooooo

I'm kidding Alpha. You're alright alright alriiiiiight yeaaaaaaah

By the way, any of you guys that need a good lead gen software, check out Power Leads Pro X. Not a big fan of WF products, but this one is pretty bad ass. Check the download section.

OP, pick any industry at all and then scrape the listings for them in yelp or something... not hard to do that as even I know how to get that and I'm a certified idiot.

Then write a script that you can loosely use to contact those in that particular industry.

There really is no end to the number of industries to contact and no end to the sales you can get by following the above method... you just have to make up your mind what industry you are going after.

It would be counter productive to hold your hand through the whole process and to give you such specifics as to which ones would work because some may click for you and others may not.

If I give you any more info, jstover77 will mail a spoon to my office and I don't know that I could handle that so I'll stop there.

Hi,

I sold this business a while back, but I used to have a web business that worked with local restaurants - you would have to go and visit local restaurants.

If your interested in that PM me and I can discuss how that worked in more detail.

No offense, but did you take my suggestion seriously?

The yellow pages list businesses by their specialty. The people who buy yellow page ads are used to spending money for advertising.

Yellow pages advertising has been producing a diminishing return for several years now, meaning these advertisers realize that they are loosing customers. This means they are spending more money every year with less effect.

They also know that the reason they are losing customers is because people are searching online.

For the price of a yellow pages ad the size of a business card, you can build a website and do SEO on it for 6 months. If their ad is the size of an index card, simply diverting the money spent to renew the yellow page ad will pay for the site and a year of SEO or more. Get them to divert the money from yellow pages to the web for one year. Since you cannot really tell how many customers come from the yellow pages anyway, you can realistically claim any increase in customers to be as a result of your building the site and SEO, because it will be.

If your SEO can't outperform a yellow pages ad in a year, you need to find another vocation.

The yellow pages will even tell you businesses that do not have a website, so you can try to sell them one.

And trust me, doing SEO for a driveshaft repair shop is a HELL of a lot easier than a Lawyer or Dentist.

Another thing you can do is make a search about any service, go to the second page and start calling the people there. They NEED SEO.
