I have been putting this off for a while but I want to back up all my important stuff incase my comp dies. Obviously I need something reliable. I was looking on amazon and was looking at Seagate backup plus, but then read some reviews on another site and people were saying that Seagate is no good. Whats the deal?

Western Digital is good in my experience.

Doesn't really matter, all of my dozen external drives, name brand and no-name, work fine and have never failed. Just make sure it's USB 3.0 and figure out if you want self powered or external powered. I usually buy on price and newegg is a good source for deals.

I have WD and Seagate drives and both perform perfectly.
