    Hello bhw,

The good old days of free google apps services are gone. I cherish the days when they offered a 100 free accounts... they then dropped it to 10 then ultimately 0.

Although i have been fortunate enough to have used Gapps before they killed the free version, I am looking to start a new website in a different niche and want to use a custom email for it. I am thinking of going for the business app version for fifty bucks a year per person which is not bad but I wonder if anyone knows better email services?

Some will say just use businessname@gmail.com and yes I would agree to a certain extent that it could suffice general needs, but personally it kills the authentic trust to see @gmail.com, or @yahoo.com for an email address... esp. for a growing legit business. I would rather see boss@mybusinessname.com.

    I appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks for reading.

Outlook...easy to brand your business; and yes, your hunch is correct, the @gmail.com looks amateurish if you're dealing with the public/clients.

Get the domain you want, some good hosting, and you are good to go.
Or am I missing something here?
