Obviously I have my opinion about this, but I am curious as to what others are thinking.

1. What is the Dollar value, what you would pay, for high authority links? I understand that different niches can afford to pay more for links due to ROI, regardless of that let us know.
2. What are the metrics that matter to you when getting links -PageRank -Domain Authority -Page Authority -Trust Flow -Citation Flow -Others?
3. Are there other factors that are important to you? -Relevant niche -Guest post -HomePage post -Others?

For example: All other things being equal, what is the value of a link from the hypothetical homepage of these sites?
Give a Dollar value range for each site

Site A
PR 4-6
DA30-39
TF 20-29
CF 20-29

Site B
PR 4-6
DA40-49
TF 30-39
CF 30-39

Site C
PR 4-6
DA50-59
TF 40-49
CF 40-49

See the value of links cannot be estimated like the way you are doing. First off, you have not even entered one of the most important metrics - domain age and secondly, I would rather settle for a website with low DA/PA which has a reputed history, than a website with high metrics and bad or mixed content history.

If you're only using PR/DA/PA/TF/CF and other imaginary metrics to find quality sites to post on then I think you need to re-think your strategy.

High PA/DA/MZR will definitely a good sites according to me i researched lot on web

Thank you for both of these, well thought out, responses. I actually thought I was going to get some intelligent responses and possibly learn something. I guess I will continue to use my imaginary metrics.

By high authority do you just mean SEO value or also highly visited sites? I am sure you can charge more if those links actually pull some targeted traffic.

I'd say maybe 50-60 for a one time post or yearly if it's decent sites that are regularly updated and don't look like link farms.

accelerator_dd, sumarised it for me... I prefer links from the highly visited websites as you get traffic and seo benefit.
surely the sites which already rank in SE's will have better SEO effect on your site.

OP, my take is that you should look beyond DA/CF metrics, and I, personally, think that a link from a highly visited website is much better than a link from high DA website which has no organic traffic.

Yeah, that would be great to get traffic from a link but I would expect to pay more for those and they are more difficult to find.

yes, it's true that it takes time to find them but from my point of view they are worth it... and there're some great websites which would give you a link back and visitors if you give them some interesting content.
