hi BHW, what is whitehat in CPA? 1. if someone is getting traffic and blanking the referrer (blackhat).... what is assumed by the manager the traffic is coming from because now you have blanked it.... 2. If someone is getting traffic to a landing page and asks some questions to go to the CPA offer.... Is blanking referrer required here too? or is this what whitehat in CPA? Please i appertiate if someone can answer me these 2 questions brothers thank you Long Live BHW
whitehat = %100 legit if you have to blank the referrer then most likely what your doing is not whitehat your AM will question your traffic source if it is blanked and your making a big amount. keep it under the radar, meaning spread it out between networks and make sure to have a good answer when they start to ask where your traffic is coming from.
My two pence: 1: Blanking referrer traffic is often considered a blackhat move, but shouldn't necessarily be. You can run a whitehat campaign and blank your traffic if you are afraid the CPA may steal your campaign or traffic, so it's not uncommon. They may ask where the traffic is coming from but can't prove one way or another if the source is legit or not. 2. I don't really understand your wording here ... Posted via Mobile Device
1. Blanking the referrer is NOT considered black hat, not one big. Sure, it'll make networks suspicious, but they won't automatically think you're pulling shady tactics. Nearly everyone in this industry blanks this referrer depending on how they're promoting, especially in PPC. This is to keep networks/AMs from getting ahold of precious keywords/LPs that make the campaign profitable. As affiliates we try our best to keep that to ourselves so that there's less competition. 2. For this question I'm assuming that you're asking about a quiz/poll of some sort. As long as it's not breaking any of the terms of the network or of the offer (sometimes offers tell you what you cannot do, such as incentivising.) That's considered pure white hat in my opinion. Blank your traffic sources whenever you can, just make sure that they don't catch you if you're doing anything shady, but don't assume that the AM thinks you're pulling something just because you are blanking the ref. The two who replied above me, please read this. Not trying to ridicule you guys, but I'd like you to know the answer so that you can answer correctly in the future.
@http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/23690-bearymanalow.html bearymanalow thankyou sir.... talking about the second method yes sir.....yes "landing page" i was expecting you guys to assume it to be a quiz/poll page.... great reply i should say bearymanalow.... But when we talking about networks like NeverBlue etc.... during the signup procedure... we are asked question about the "incentivising" Does it mean if we signup for them we just cant use incentive methods ? thank you http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/23690-bearymanalow.html
They don't want you to incentivise any offers that say no incentivising. There may be offers that are OK with that method of promotion, but I'm betting a majority of the offers won't be in NB. They're one of my networks as well, but I haven't seen any incent offers...though I haven't actually looked. If you do plan on doing some incent traffic, just tell them you don't, but remember that they can withhold your leads from you if they don't like your traffic. It's in their (NB's) TOS.
LOL... you have been black hat for so long you have forgotten what white hat is. You, my friend, have become i-n-s-t-i-t-u-t-i-o-n-a-l-i-s-e-d
