New to FB ads. I created a fake FB account so I don't risk my personal account. Tried to set up an ad. The first unusual thing I noticed on it is that its named 'adverts manager' whereas my personal account is named 'ads manager'. And FB is using the word 'adverts' wherever it has used 'ads' on my personal account.

Secondly, no matter what objective I select, the minimum budget for both daily and lifetime is $105. No matter what I do, it won't accept any budget for lesser than $105. I've done as low as $1 budget on the ads on my personal account.

What's going on with this account? How to fix it? Make a new one?

It always suggests a high budget. But normally you can type into the budget box, it looks like a select box but you can type into it and enter a manual amount.

    If you can't then I don't know what's up.

Yep, I know. I can enter a manual amount but it won't accept it and makes it all red, and an error message appear that the minimum budget is set at $105 for this advert.

Are you using that basic interface/boost or are you in the ad manager? Perhaps something about your targetting in the ad manager has triggered this.

Start over with a basic boost (don't go through just test) and see if the budget is lower. My guess is your targetting or audience may be the issue there.

Not boosting. I'm in the ads manager, or as it is named in this account 'adverts manager'.
The minimum budget doesn't change no matter what I do with the targeting. I've done exact same targeting and audience as I did in my personal account and paid $1 per day and I've done different targeting as well. The minimum budget of $105 doesn't change.

What are you promoting? Is it a post or a page?

Regardless : try basic boost, like I said, don't go through with it, outside the ad manager. See what the budget is on boost and try to change the budget there.

If you can change it on the boost but not on the manager, it's some advanced parameter (or bug) on ad manager. If you can't on boost either, then it's likely something about your account.

As I've said, I've tried with both. Post promotion, website clicks, page likes etc. Minimum budget doesn't change.
Tried checking out the boost as you said. Boost is unavailable on all posts. It said that I should add payment method first. I did. Boost is still unavailable. Maybe MAYBE business manager is causing all this site. I signed up for business manager too. Now I've sent the request to delete the business manager, maybe that'll fix things. Or I'll just have to discard this account.

I've had a terrible experience with business manager last year, but in the end got used to it.

It seems to be an accountwide issue indeed, perhaps because they detected some risk and want a high payment for your first campaign? Haven't seen this happen.

Let me try making a fresh account and see if the issue persists. You got Skype?

Here's an idea: create the 105 dollar campaign, wait for approval and immediately pause it so it doesn't spend any money.

Then try to create a second campaign and see what happens.
