I am seeing way too many threads on this forum about people asking things such as, "I got $x,xxx, what I spend it on and how?".
This isn't a giveaway contest forum. I'm sure everyone is willing to help each other to some degree, but the problem is these people should
at least learn to browse around and figure it out for themselves. If they can't even figure this out. What's the point of going into something
that takes lots of trial and error.

The truth is people that have to ask strangers how to spend their money will soon be broke anyway.

Those people will not even survive if they get the basic given to them, then they will ask "this has happen, what do i do now?"

The best way is always to think, try, think again, then continue trying

I do belive there is many people who thinks IM is an easy task, just do what ever everyone else does and its a win situation.. if it only where that simple

I admit, I was also clueless when I started IM. One must learn for themselves, this is a business. It isn't just something we do for fun. Well once again to a certain degree.

As a business owner myself, I try to invest in new techniques and ideas all the time. Perhaps that is what they are doing? Looking for some new ideas or perhaps a validation from someone in the forum about something that they're on the fence on. It's nice to have a conversation with others about what you've been thinking even if you know them or not. It could also be a way for them the quickly sort out what NOT to do with their money. :p

You're very optimistic :). In my opinion the truth is much worse: people are just sooo lazy and think that they can get someone's secrets to "get rich quick".

    Never you mind.
I can't stand it. If the OP of these topics were to give an inkling that they are somewhat savvy in this business or have some knowledge of ANYTHING then I'm sure more people would be happy to offer some advice. But this isn't the case.

I have to admit, that sometimes I can relate to people asking for help (not all the time, just some of the time). You have to realize, to a newbie, this site is overwhelming, and knowing where to begin is a daunting task. And then there's a lot of old information, bad information, incorrect information, all littered in with the good stuff.

I mean, I've been here for a little while, and I still don't know my ass from a hole in the ground...

That being said, no one should be asking where to spend their money, but if someone wants to spend some on me, I'll take it! :)

Sharing is mostly a instant burial of the technique.

New members mostly think that there are get rich quick in here.

Well, last time i checked in the left under the header it says blackhat SEO forum. SEO means work and dedication.

    Seriously...

Some people just want to learn the basics of a method, I see nothing wrong in that.

    You don't have to spoon feed them but you know the old saying;

" Give a man a burger, he'll be fed for a day, teach him how to make burgers and he'll feed himself and his family for life! "

What irks me the most is that occasionally some genuinely good methods get leaked out and subsequently ruined.

Perhaps because this is a forum about internet marketing?

Take you faux elitism somewhere else. If there were more serious discussions and less threads about lolcatz we would see less people asking where to begin.

It would be nice however to have actually "gurus" of some sort to create a compiled thread of the basics. I had to spend roughly two months scouring every single part of this website including WF to learn just the MINIMAL basics of IM simply because there's so much scattered information everywhere. One person would say "Method A for *insert reason here* so thus, Method B is better because of *insert reason here*. Then however, there would be an exact same thread started by somebody else saying the exact opposite. It's understandable that there would be controversy between techniques people employ for advanced use, but is it really that difficult to give a short, detailed explanation on how to even start?-_-

The problem is that some ways to make money cost time, others cost dollars. Some people may have one or the other which makes it more than appropriate to ask how to spend money. That said, I personally wouldn't always do it just out of pure disclosure, I've thought of taking on investors with some of my methods but don't want to fully disclose the methods so I can imagine they won't want to invest, and rightly so.

    IM all the way.
Its a bit of a tough one. I am wary of sharing techniques because I don't want them saturated. On the other hand, its not like we are some geniuses. The only reason you have money/techniques that work for you, is because you learnt them for someone else. At the very least, someone else taught you a lot of what you know, and then you were able to use this information to figure out a technique/niche for yourself.

Thats the thing. In life, people rarely discover things. You might discover a twist, but you had to learn the foundation from someone else. I am accutely aware that I have learned from other people, and the best way to grow and get better is to continue to earn from others.

I don't think it is bad to seek out information from others; but I think we have to earn it. How? Become their genuine friend, be a genuine person to talk to. I help out my friends. There is little else you could do that would be better than that for them.

BTB gave me some simple but incredibly important information that saved not only my job at the time, it set the foundation for my career today. I bet he doesn't know who I am, and I was just a complete stranger to him (and still now). Forever grateful.

The threads that strike me go like this " I have no money or job and want to start in IM to make the big bucks  "

Honestly...Get any service job and save some money to really invest. Until then contribute here and learn.

NO. The adage is about having the initiative to produce something from nothing, not getting a government hand-out that was forcibly taken from a producer and given to someone too lazy to work, and too stupid to cook.
