I checked the backlinks of a website that is ranking good on google and turns out that it has lots of pages like that providing backlinks :

    retrop.c*o*m/blog/xmlrpc.php/?showc=despicable+me

    profiler00.powweb.c*o*m/forum/viewtopic.php/?wshow=despicable+me+wiki

    blog.ezdevo.c*o*m/?wshow=despicable+me+wiki

any idea whats he doing to generate those pages ?

i also noticed all pages "showc=keywords" or "wshow=keywords" on the url, so that might help to figure out what tool he is using

or are those pages hacked ?

please let me know what you think guys, thanks a lot

It looks like a hacked server. The hacker is getting in and installing a script that generates or displays those pages. Then he's getting the hacked pages indexed to produce the backlink.

I know that older Joomla sites have vulnerabilities when it comes to hacking for links, a little research will go a long way. A lot of sites that pass login variables through a URL can be hacked one way or another. You just need to find out which sites/cms's you can do this on, and use some search commands (allinurl specifically) to find sites that are still subject to these types of attacks.

If you've ever had a site hacked, you can probably use a little research to find out how they found your site, and create a similar search with your specific keywords as part of the search command. Not that I recommend doing any of this, but since you asked, I figured I would share what I know about this topic. And that's about all I got on the topic.

Oh, also, wiki sites are some of the easiest sites to get links from if you know the right cms to search for.
