What is this and how is my competitor doing it????

    I've set up a Google alert on one of my competitors website and I found pages with their name that dont make sense and also its showing their name as a link even though its not. Black Haters I need your help, here is the link below.

    look again at the page
    it would be too obvious if they are links, but all urls are in plain text.

    and somehow G sees them as links, because they appear in Alerts for the site.

    Google sees them because they are LINKS and NOT just plain text. Look at the source code...

    every time somebody says that this is link not text I go and recheck the page to confirm....
    could it be we see result differently?
    content of the page has links in pain text as below

    down the page there are some links, but these are internal to the similar pages of the same domain.

    I see it the same way, in the page they are not links it looks like plain text but they show up on my alerts and also How do they do this???

    how is your alert set up? I have one for each of my domains and I get alerts about them when the domain name is mentioned whether it's hyperlinked or not. Alerts don't just tell you about active links they tell you whenever they find that search term. When I get the alert in my inbox it looks like a link because my email software automatically converts http addresses to hyperlinks but that's not how it is on the page. Perhaps that's the issue?
