    Also getting around forum spam, by registering back on forums with proxies.
    you can also use proxies to manipulate where you show in search results if you have enough, and high quality

    Proxies change your IP. Anonymous proxies hide your IP too, but this does not make you anonymous, it just adds a layer between you and whatever you're accessing.
