Avg has been my guard of choice for years..and the free version is excellent
Best method of protection is self-caution!
Don't open any email from anyone you don't know, don't run attachments and don't go on bad sites. Then you'll be fine.
Otherwise, I recommend AVG it's good. But remember no AV can 100% prevent you from getting a virus.
It really doesn't get any better then ESET NOD32
You can run the 30 day trial over and over.
Downlaod AVG from AVG website, then download seriel key from torrent site, usually included with AVG..
only reason i do this is because you know you have a clean version of AVG with a dodgy serial key, delete the dodgy version of AVG included in the torrent..
most keys are valid till 2018
ESET NOD32 Trust me dude!
My group worked a lot to bypass it's security..but we failed
Unlike other AV. this is Badass!
NOD32 is great. Kaspersky is also a good one to look into.
Avast has sandboxed environment with one click, which can satisfy your online banking requirements. Though this option isn't available in the free version. I never exprienced any problem with Avast for about last 3 years since I swiched from Norton. PC performance isn't decreased and it blocked everything potentialy dangerous so far, but precaution with what you download and sites you visit is the major protection.
Avast here as well. It nags less than AVG on the free version. The sandbox is usefull too.
GO LINUX. I use xUbuntu
AVG is what I use. No problems (yet)...
Im using Kaspersky Pure, Malwarbytes, Super Antispyware, spybot and the best of all keylogger protection. I have had bad experience with keyloggers taking my passwords and stealing my money. So ya get a keylogger protection.
No antivirus. Linux+really carefully made iptables. a fly cannot get anywhere near any of my computers or servers without me knowing.
I have been using malwarebot. Actually free and works very well and perfect for fixing people's computers who already have spyware issues.
