    Hi Guys,

I'm starting a forum site, and I need your SEO advise :)

Does the length of a url can affect in bad way the on-site SEO ? What are the thumb rules ?

Specially in forums, the urls tend to include the title of the the thread, so i'm little confused....

    Thank you all!

It probably doesn't matter much, but I'd avoid having hyphens in the URL and making it too long.

URL doesn't affect seo much, URL length affects usability.

Although having the exact match domain name in the title and description may help in SEO.

Recommended domain name length is 5-14 characters imo.

I guess 200 characters url would not be very good. BHW has hyphens in its url tho...

    Hey Thanks Sahl.

What do you mean in usability ?

and "having the exact match domain name in the title and description", does it mean if my domain is www.123456.com, each single page should have in its title and description www.123456.com ?
