What hits me the hardest is reading threads about (and talking to) people in third-world / developing countries earning a wage that lets them feed their family and put a roof over their heads. It really puts things into perspective for me, since I won the genetic lottery of being born a white dude in America. $15/day from IG/CPA would barely put a dent in the bills here, whereas it can be life-changing to someone overseas.
