What is the minimum cost to make a niche based membership site?
I really don't understand.Can you please explain a bit?
How do you want me to explain it can cost nothing?...
The Circle. Why would people need money to build membership site, when everything is available for free.
Hosting will cost you a little money ($10) and buying the domain, maybe another $5. However making the website and marketing it is where you put in the blood, sweat and tears.
I charge $600+ for membership sites built on Wordpress.
If you've got your content and hosting sorted out, then it will cost you only promotion fees. All the soft and scripts for running membership site you can find in Downloads pages here.
I make ecommerce sites for $1500+ and it costs me nothing. What people charge and what it costs are two totally different values.
Hiring someone is a cost.
Using it in a sentence: If the thread starter hired me to build his membership site, it would COST him $600+.
besidess hosting its freeee
the biggest thing you'll need is a site idea...
Exactly Spot On!
I have to laugh at the misinformed comments like - nothing - $0 - FREE in other posts!
All are misleading for starters every man hour spent on developing a site is a cost!
It is not in the best interests of people who are trying to get on, to be told there is a 'FREE Lunch' awaiting when building
a site - that just ain't gonna happen!
I don't see how you can call it misinformed. It can cost nothing in tools and apps. Time? How am I supposed to price that? Some work work for $1/hr and others work for $800/hr. Shall I say it will cost at minimum infinite amounts? You put in the cost for the site, not for living or time. Time is money only after you're making money.
Quite right and time will be needed so that is the most precious investment that you do for it.
There is no standard cost as such. Hell, you can build the site yourself, promote using free traffic and this will only cost your 10bucks(domain+hosting). That's what I would do.
THE ONLY REAL COST IS TIME, if you do it yourself. And making membership sites is a breeze today with so many scripts and platforms floating around.
I'm creating a membership website recently
and what a luck, I have shopperpress, and i build it from the theme, ahahaha
There are also generous members that give out free hosting out on here as well,so it could literally cost you $0. There is simply a time commitment to developing the site as well as reading and researching enough to make sure that you are going to deliver a quality product.
It's up to you and your designer .
