What is the maximum number of keywords you have ranked a post for?

Over a 1000. My GSC shows 1000 different queries with at least 1 click on a single page.

GSC doesn’t show more than a 1000 queries so it’s hard to know the exact number.

More than 20, was shear luck, I later found out there a thing going on:
Big authority sites in the niche were not writing about the keyword.
So there you go a complete real world use case!

Around 8-10 keywords

That is awesome. You must have spent a lot on backlinks for that article and the site.

On one of our client site, we targeted a main keywords but instead of the main keyword, it started ranking for 20 of it's longtails keywords. The article was about 3000 words though.

What about you @krishnaverma ?

Same for me, im sure a way exists to get a more exact number but at a point it can be so much that it is pointless to track. Many of the keywords may even be so low volume it never is worth optimizing for them.

About 4-5 keywords only and that also 5 years back. I did this 10 years ago with a blogspot domain also. It was very easy earlier. Now, this is not much profitable for me so I am doing other methods to make money online.

Not really. I haven’t built a single backlink so far. It’s ranking because of the keyword research.

I bought the site so it had a few links when I bought it. This specific page has no backlinks other than usual scraper crap.

Yeah. It’s impractical to optimise for so many keywords anyway. Most are just variations and grammatically incorrect.

I once ranked a single post for over 50 different keywords. It was intentional, and I achieved it by conducting extensive keyword research and optimizing the post with relevant and high-quality content, as well as properly optimizing the meta tags and internal linking.

4 focus keyword per 500 words. This method is good for ranking keyword.

There quite good guides hear, yeah, But I bet on my own experience in it.
But if you wanna - you can find some guides here using the search.
I just don't remember them :D

Usually, we tried 8 to 10 keywords with 500 words its enough

we tried this method, and also we get good results also.
Only 500 words ranked for 10 keywords. That is very hard to do in current time.

it's worth noting that in SEO, there is no set maximum number of keywords that a post can rank for. The ranking of a post depends on various factors, including the quality and relevance of the content, the competitiveness of the keywords, the website's authority, and the search engine's algorithms.
