I had a plan to use my exact match keywords in url, title, h1 and several times in the text.
Those keywords are easy competition so I want to target them directly rather than some long tail.

    For example:

    keyword
    site.tld/keyword
    <title>keyword
    <h1>keyword
text that has keyword several times

    other-keyword
    site.tld/other-keyword
    <title>other keyword
    <h1>Other keyword
text that has other keyword several times.

Then I read some contradicting information that basically warned about over optimization. Having title match h1 may not be a good idea apparently.

What is the best way to do this at this time?

    Thanks

you could be a victim of Keyword farming penalties if page is overloaded with keywords. So use correct keyword metrics.
