They will just subtract the money out of your bank to fix the negative balance in most cases. And you cannot even detach your
bank account once the paypal account is in the negative.

They will deduct the negative balance from your credit card. You could close the credit card and never reconciliate with PayPal but on your risk of never be able to open another PayPal account on your name ever again.

I had 4k, which I believe is one of the highest if not the highest in this forum. I was scammed so im not gonna pay it off. It was a stealth account but I think for four grand they will pursue it and eventually find my true identity and take me to court but I will just tell the judge I dont make much money & will eventually pay them small amount each month which will take Ebay 30 years to get it back lol But then again they are a million dollar company and it will cost them more then 4k to take me to court & also pay fees to find my real identity because of stealth account so I dont think they will bother but we shall see.

Stealing is illegal and you used ebay services and now trying to get someone to justify how you can continue to steal from ebay and buyers. This only makes it harder on the honest people.

No judge will allow you to make payments. He will give you a number of a cell with your name on it.

I do not know where you get this info from, as I have several negative accounts, and not once was my account touched. I also very much doubt they have any legal power to take money from your bank account.

You are wrong. If the amount exceeds a certain amount they can and will track you down. The debt collector can then sue you for the balance when they win the judgement against you. Then they will garnish your wages if you still have a job because stealing money is illegal. You have a negative balance for what reason?

Did you not ship product? Thief of their money=illegal
Do you owe ebay money in fees? Thief= You used their services and owed them money.

Explain to a judge why you were using a stealth name etc and why you stole money from either of these two.

They might not touch it for a small amount but if you rip off the wrong buyer you will pay for it.

Someone already posted they did not ship a 240.00 item and it was sold to an attorneys wife and they were found, sued and spent 30 days in jail.

You might not be so lucky next time.

    Doug is right.

If you take enough money from Paypal or Paypal links enough stealth accounts together in the past where you screwed Paypal they will take you to court.

There is also the possibility of screwing the wrong person on Ebay who would take you to court.

Paypal can take money from your bank account if its an active bank account. Unless its a bank that does not allow over draft fees but then Paypal could still possibly wipe your balance to zero depending on the bank.

Whoever takes you to court could result in garnishing your wages or putting you in the grey bar hotel it really depends on the case and the judge.

However there are ways to make completely anonymous stealth accounts where Ebay or Collection Agencies couldn't catch you if they tried look at the link below.

It does take alot of skill though to run a completely anonymous stealth account and one slight mistake would compromise your anonymity resulting in doing time in prison and owing alot of money depending on the severity of the crime.

I had a -4800.00 balance once as someone charged back their CC after a purchase back in 2007. The buyer was trying to get over on me for something that I sold them and used his card to buy. PP actually charged my CC and I went to my bank and talked with them and they reversed the PP charge so I didn't get hit.

PP never bothered with me at all and I have no clue what they did to recover that cash.

That account is, of course, history and I've opened several new ones in corporate names with no issues related to that 4800.00.
