I have a photography website I am trying to advertise on google and facebook for a friend.

Would the ideal call to action be just a "contact us" button, or a "get a quote option"?

Because I feel like i need more than just my contact info when I am paying for advertising.

I am not experienced with php. Would this just be a simple php script that will take their name and contact info and saves it in a text file?

    Any recommendations?

Some general purpose calls to action are:

    - Order Now

    - Click Here To Claim Your Copy of (product name)

    and so on . . .

Basically, a call to action is a COMMAND, not a request. You are TELLING them what to do. Testing over the years has shown that customers want to be told what to do next.

    Hope that helps . . .

    Awesome,
Thanks Wiz, you're always very helpful.

Now what would be the best way for me to get someones contact information on the photography site?

    Just a simple form

    Name:
    Phone Number:
    Details:

I haven't done any php, but is it that done through php, and the info is just saved in a text file?

To answer your question regarding the Contact Us page, yes . . . use an optin form. For the type of business you are working with, it would be good to get their Name, Email, and Phone (Make the phone optional. Some people are afraid to include a phone number). Also use a small message box in the form for them to request any information or ask any questions they may have.

    Cheers! - "Wiz"

You can set up an optin here
    Code:
    http://www.mycontactform.com/
then just copy and paste the html code into your site, also maybe think of sense of urgency i.e act now and save xxx or get free etc
    Hope this helps

Build a list. Create an optin form for a newsletter and do something in the lines of:
"Subscribe our Newsletter to get exclusive discounts in our services"
English is not my first language, so you should be able to do something more motivating to your target audience.
