Penguin is mostly about low quality backlinks, so be careful when you try to use low quality backlinks like AA lists. In fact, you need to use them smartly to get ranked well in the SERP.

Link diversity. You can't rely on just one source of backlinks anymore.

Recently I've seen that web 2.0 properties have great impact on keeping websites away from Google Penguin.

Build a random linkwheel as 1st tier links with high quality unique articles and then adding various sources of social bookmarks, wiki backlinks, high PR and ******** relevant blog comments to the wheel as second tier ;)

That's nice tips that I've used for my own webs and things all go on the right track :)

    Best,

Always concentrate on regular directory submissions, article submissions and also Web2.0 pages....I personally tested with these, sites still withstand rankings even after penguin...

One of my other site keywords deindexed because i have used more blog networks links and other software submission links...

So, try to avoid bulk submission services....
