What is the best way to pass domain age with 301 redirect ?

Hi,

I'm starting a new site and I'll be doing a 301 redirect to it from an aged domain, however, I have a few questions :

- does the aged domain needs an article on it ?
- is it ok if I just park it with godaddy and do a 301 redirect from the parking control panel ? or should I host the old domain ? If so, can it be on the same hosting account than my new site ?
- there's nothing free on namecheap/godaddy to host a one page wordpress and 301 redirect to the new site right ?
