I look after a women's fashion blog that I have yet to monetize. I want to increase my traffic safely and sustainability from either organic or social. I don't want to take out ads as I don't sell anything yet. I've read a lot about different tactics, seo, social signals etc.

So I ask you this; If you had $100 to spend what (if anything) would buy?

You could find a decent writer that would do 8 to 10 pieces of unique, detailed content for you.

Content is king when it comes to getting organic traffic in my opinion.

$100 isn't enough, but since you have a women's fashion blog, I suppose you could try looking into a Pinterest service.

If the site is relatively new and not monetized yet I'd be focusing mostly on keyword research (relevant low competition, long tail keywords that are easy to rank for) and quality content. $100 won't get you far though.

Thanks for your suggestions guys. How much do you think I would need to get a sizable boost to my traffic?

I would buy content from the 100$.

How much to spend? It depends on your goals and how big you want your website to be.

Figure out how much the backlinks and the content costs for your desired goal.

Instagram works best for the fashion industry esp targetting women. Just try to get some hot friends to dress up whatever related to your blog and ask them to hashtag your site. You don't even need to spend $ for this ~~ Worth a try i guess

Place a few high quality articles on the site. Pay a writer to do them for you and this can draw some good traffic to your site.

All the people saying content is king, should realize that this is only the case when your site has already build up some authority. You have to promote the site and get others to link to your content. Once your site has enough authority then your site can rank new articles/content. Until then, content alone won't drastically grow your traffic.

Ok so my site isn't new per se. I have a girl doing the content and in my opinion it is as good, if not better than bigger blogs. I have a 7k followers on intsa, but it doesn't result in much traffic, maybe a few hundred a month.

One of the issues I think is a problem is that the posts are mostly photo based

It's possible. But now you're getting into quality content and traffic engagement. If you're thinking about making your content more shareable, then that's good, but you'll still need to promote that content.

Second that. Get a native language writer who actually knows what he's talking about (she in your case probably) - 100$ would probably get your 2-4 decent posts.

Not entirely true. Decent content written without "focus on SEO" often results in keywords/LSI combinations no one could have thought of, easy ones that will get ranked pretty fast even on new site without huge authority, given that you actually "do the promo" - all the social network dance to get at least few links - i.e. pressing "share" button on that post and tossing it around all the usual soc network sites.
