I would really like to start using a reseller hosting plan for my clients. I have been using FatCow but they have been driving me absolutely crazy. They have been terrible with their affiliate payouts and have been making me jump through hoops for everything. They're offering a decent affiliate deal but this means nothing because I've had to wait 4 months for a payout (if I even get paid this month). Their speeds are abhorred as well - I get that it is shared hosting but good god. I'm sure many of you have been using reseller hosting and I would love your opinions. I have been doing a lot of searching but I would love to know what my fellow BHWers have been using! I am also looking to change my websites from being hosted on FatCow to another provider because of their incompetence. I'm not looking forward to transferring all of my ~10 domains, subdomains and development sites over.

TL;DR: I'm currently looking at FatCow, GoDaddy and HostGator for reseller hosting. Please let me know your opinions and if you have any other suggestions I really appreciate your input!

I'm taking a look at them now thanks! I would love to hear some other opinions. Is anyone using GoDaddy, HostGator or FatCow for Reseller hosting?

Thanks again for the reply. Do you use any of these companies for reseller hosting? I think I'm going to prepare a spreadsheet or something similar to compare my options. There are so many ups and downs to each provider. It is getting me excited at the prospect of residual income with my website development clients, though!

I had a good experience with hostgator's reseller plans in the past, can't say the same about godaddy (too slow)

Amazing thanks I am definitely leaning towards HostGator or GoDaddy. You've used GoDaddy and didn't like it? I am against GoDaddy for hosting but they may be the easy route I am going to call all three companies tomorrow to get specifics to compare. Strangely only HostGator really provides a good description of what they're offering which makes this decision really difficult.

I would really like to be selling the hosting from my business website - does anyone know if I need to be hosting it on the company's server to be a reseller?
