What is the best, most dishonest get rich quick scheme you ever saw?

On a serious note, for me, the most awful get rich quick scheme giving people to illusion they can become rich fast is cryptos. Their marketing is top notch, especially binance, I had so many friends trying and losing money it is very well done (and alarming).

Onlyfans was also very good example during the pandemic of a get rich quick scheme...the way they told every girl can make 10k a month was brilliant marketing for registering on their website and made them a ton of traffic but it is sad for all the girls realising it's a lot harder than it seems and almost scammy at this point.

What about you? if you have a more original example it is welcomed.

Here’s an example :

1. Post some random methods on BHW (that you can find for free with a simple search or if you had even the tiniest bit of common sense could decipher yourself).

2. Gain ”reputation” among the newbies as an industry expert. Call yourself a millionaire if you must. This is crucial as you need their loyalty, enough to an extent where they’ll defend you even if someone calls you out.

3. Few months down the line, open a sales thread for an exclusive method that’s even better than your free methods. The rep you’ve built for yourself so far should help with the sales.

4. Even if people are dissatisfied with your product, they’ll be hesitant to leave negative reviews because of your position in the forum. If they do, you can discredit them by calling them stupid or lazy. (Make sure you add a generic “No refunds once delivered policy”).

5. If enough people begin calling you out, ask for your sales thread to be closed because you’ve sold an arbitrary number of copies that only you know. Change your username and lurk until the heat dies.

6. Repeat.

I have the same doubts. Is BHW slowly becoming the one like the other scammy forums. Under every sales thread we could see JR VIPs vouching for the products even without testing. Juice a method till death and create DFY products and sell it to desperate newbies then when people report its not working then blame them saying 'cuz you are a beginner you dint figure out the twist you needed for the money to pour down. People would easily fall because JR VIPs vouching them. I dont see them real. Its hard to see BHW providing less value now than before it used to be.

There was too much PR about cryptos these last 2 years with teenagers becoming rich and stuff... and almost all articles spoke about binance, you can never know if they paid for the article or not (as nothing is free I suspect yes).

Binance marketing is top notch. I consider them the leaders of the crypto get rich quick scheme as they are positioned as the "crypto website" by excellence. So their billion dollars is based on a get rich quick industry.
