In your own opinion what's the next step for someone who has been practicing future trading via paper trading on trading view?

The thing is with paper trading, there's confidence that I know what I'm doing but I'm not sure it would be the same with real money.

A lot of people have recommended just getting into it but starting very small, others that use the same exchange I do have mentioned starting with the trading showdown there, as it provides a "structured environment" for me to test my strategies and get the rewards for the event to boost my capital.

There are people on Reddit that have even suggested that I stick to paper trading till I get enough confidence, although I think it's just sarcasm.

Hey!

Once you have real money in real trading, you will have losses due to psychological reactions to losses.

Knowing your risk tolerance will help reduce your reaction. Immediately decide what loss you will be uncomfortable watching in your account. And based on this, choose the size of the deposit for one trade and the size of the stop loss.

Another option is to use other people's money or bonus funds in trading. Then the problem of psychology will decrease.

The best option is to write a trading bot and only occasionally monitor its work.

You should start real trading soon. There you should start with initial small amount first so that there is less pressure on you.

I’ve personally gone through a “daytrading” phase and contributed a fair bit of time in studying technical chart analysis - only advice I could give here is defintely don’t play with money that you’re not looking to part with. The already highly fluctuating market, in combination with leverage trading is a great recipe for disaster, lol.

Other than that you could look into Ben Cowen on YT - he’s solid and unbiased.

go watch statistics on day trading, real trading is made in funds, and is way different from what everybody think trading is, eventually you will lose money, they are selling courses not teaching you

The best way to improve as a trader is to study market trends, backtest strategies, manage risk effectively, and continuously learn from both successes and failures.

If you're already confident in paper trading, the next step is to start trading with real money, but very carefully. Small amounts will help you feel the difference without taking big risks. Participating in exchange tournaments can also be a useful experience. The key is to stay in control of your emotions and keep learning.
