What is the best country to live in?

No worries, go to expat forums and you'll find many similar like mine.

I will definitely look deeper into it, before I decide to go to NZ personally...or maybe go for a short vacation first to check it out first hand. ;)

Don't blame you, probably get bummed to death in Paris, lot of weirdos round there, no offence to anyone.

No offence to the french either, but yes, a lot of weirdos...first time I came, I thought I won't survive the way from the airport to the hotel(I arrived at night). lol

Short vacation is important step if you're willing to move permanently abroad. Some people get affected by culture shock so bad that the only thing they want is to go home :D

Sometimes thats the fun part...I used to pick a location on one day and then just move there for a few months or even years...didn't even know what I'm going into. ;)

Florida- Great weather and strong economy- low culture- real estate is cheap (depending on the place) - I went to private beach every other day where there were no buildings, no people, only trees and beach.

You must have been in different Florida then, if there is a strong economy...because I only know a bankrupting Florida, where you can get condos for $20-50k in foreclosures...and in good locations. :) But I agree, its a nice place to live in.

UK is ok but I'd choose Australia from those.

Need to know a bit more about your situation though...

Is your money from IM or will you be trying to get a job?
How old are you?
Are you moving with friends/girlfriend/on your own?
What do you want from life in your new home? Nature, nightlife, girls, concerts, cheapness, quiet, city?
Does your location affect your IM (ie will you be doing meetings etc) or are you truly remote?

Canada is pretty great but you have to deal with some cold temperatures for a few months a year. Right now in Toronto we are sitting at -20 Celsius and -35 with the wind chill. Needless to say I am not going anywhere today.

canada is very different from one coast to the other though. Just stay away from Quebec :p.

I would like to live in Yugoslavia. Free health care + free education, they were communists but the country was great. But unfortunately that country is no more.

How was it great exactly? The people there have a high level of temperament...not in a good way. ;)

Maybe with lietuvis002's literal millions of dollars worth of BTC, he could buy a private island right off the coast of Florida. Who knows?

Go and stay several months to 1 year to a different place until you find the one you love. And think in advance of what you want. UK and CA are very different than Australia for example - weather, people, etc.

People rights were not broken. It had the strongest passport in the world. If you committed a crime the penalty was big. If you behaved everything was OK.

You don't want to move to Canada if you hate the cold. The best would be a country which is protected and run by USA or UK, but you don't have the BS. For example: Virgin Islands, Peurto Rico, Guam, Cayman Islands, Bermuda... and more. Otherwise Panama might be a good choice? They use the USD for currency and have USA protection pretty much. Umm.. I know Thailand is super cheap to live or Mexico. But, Mexico is not safe recently.

How is the quality of healthcare though being that it is free? Anything free usually isn't quality. USA is not self-destructing...still one of the most successful in the world.

[h=1]Mediterranean countries[/h]The beach, the sea, pretty women, economical crisis so women are cheap
