I am looking for a cell phone that can replace my computer(wifi features etc). Price no object as long as phone is worth it. Any suggestions?

I dont want to buy another computer, or, lap top, so, I figure why not kill two birds with one stone. I want to get a cell phone to do everything a computer lap top does.

There are so many different kind of phones out there that my head spins. Your suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks:)

I don't think there are cellphones that can replace a computer or a laptop, but I would recommend you to buy a smartphone like the Nokia N96 or HTC Touch:

I'd suggest either a Blackberry or an iPhone, depending on your preference. Personally, I'd go iPhone for the reasons tippie noted above.

    thanks everyone ...

    I think I get it.

I basically need a smartphone that can take applications for updates...just need to decide the brand.
I prolly stick to what we know. Blackberry , iphone, or, something.

    Thanks again

I think th model is Nokia N71 Smartphone full keyboard and loads cheaper than Iphone Blackberry etc. Top phone my bro has one here (the UK) you can get one on contract for about 20 quid a month. Check Trusted Reviews at hxxp://www.trustedreviews.c0m/filter/mobile-phones?price_min=nmin&price_max=nmax&score=2&section_id=18&filter=0&manufacturer=141&submit.x=22&submit.y=10
Must admit if I had the spare cash I would get an Iphone though mainly 'cos they look so damn good.

I would suggest any Symbian phone with Wifi. Latest Nokia N series got both feature if I am not mistaken. But if you Microsoft fan, try to get PDA that use Windows Mobile. I suggest HTC or Blackberry.

i have heard some stories about IPhone
for example i have heard it doesn't have Bluetooth ( to avoid music sharing )
or you cant easily transfer your mp3s or files from PC to it again because of copy right issues
the only way is to purchase music from Itune

if you are outside US , you need to unlock the iphone to be able to use your local simcards
and also its camera isn't that much powerful to take hi-res pictures

if you want to have only a cell phone to be able to play games , listen to music , taking pic , recording movie, playing games ... i suggest you to buy one of latest Sony Ericsson cellphones

but if you want some thing like a mini laptop to run, install a wide variety of softwares, to be able to surf the web with full features ... but watching movie , listening to music and camera is not ur main purpose then buying a Pc pocket would be the best idea, also their size and weight is bigger and heavier than cellphones

For phone calls I use the G1 phone, it's very good... And can't wait for the G2 (whatever they're gonna name it).

I also have a subnotebook (a couple of them actually) with cell phone cards in them for calls and Inet connectivity on the move. (UbiNetics and Sierra Wireless have a good cellphone cards, there are others I'm sure).

Get yourself a G1/G2 which is, I think, the HTC Dream, loads of apps available for it and new ones popping up all the time, touch screen, full flip-out qwerty keyboard, email, wifi, bluetooth, google, google maps, 3G, GPRS, HSPDA. I have one and I love it.

I had a HTC Touch Diamond, what a PITA to use...
