    Hellow Guys!!!
First of all.. i wish you all "SEASONS GREETINGS" from the bottom of my heart.

coming back to the question...Right now i am using tiered backlinking strategy like Web2.0 --->(Article Directories/ Bookmarking)--->Wiki links. The above strategy is hardly showing any results. I am using GSA SER and senukex and AMR for the same. Earlier my site was at #6 on the first page of google.. but after penguin and panda .. it never recovered.. its now 506.. sometimes it flashes on #98 or 100.

    any advice please...

    Thanks
    V.

Pretty much the same strategy you used before panda/penguin that worked.. still works. The only difference now is you have to make sure you're diversifying your anchor text, making sure the content is higher quality (on site and off), and watching your linking velocity. You also want to make sure you're not over-optimizing any keywords on your website (even single keywords that you're not targeting), or placing too many ads above the fold.

These are just a few things that pop to mind. Read around here and make yourself a list of all the new best practices. If you have a site that's slapped, I recommend starting a new one unless the site was making you a lot of money. Sometimes the investment to recover a slapped site just isn't worth it. Of course, this is up to you to decide. I've partially recovered a few of mine, but it took me months and they don't make a fraction of what they did before the slap.

My strategy is first work in McDonald for few months, save some buck then try luck in BHW's Services For Sale section!

BST allows you to scale from the get go, if you have the budget but I would test and build my own technique, train and hire other to implement.

To answer the OP: tiered link building still works. It might be that your pages were penalized heavily. Try targeting new keywords rather than beating the dead horse.

To be on the safe side, try with high quality links closer to money site. The fact that you can send junk links to lower tier means they still work, just that you want to protect your money site from future algorithm changes and updaes.

instead of trying for months on a penalised site (ranking 200+ even for easy keywords), I would recommend starting with a new site if possible. Your tiered link building will work well. To get results fast, buy an aged domain, use original content on site, use unique content (need not be original) in tier 1 links, use diversified anchor texts (LSI and generic keywords), put tier1 links in high pr sites (posting success and stick rate is better if done manually) and do it regularly (even 10 per day on a url is fine). You will see the magic in 1-2 weeks. Making money with the rankings is another story.

The web2.0's that are million+ pages indexed are good. The rest are junk, don't bother with them.

AMR is crap now. All except the top article directories are more than likely to penalize your site rather than help. I've read an analysis of penalized websites and (can't find it now) but a majority of them had article directory backlinks. On goarticles I've seen the same guy (on the same account) spam the same spun article over 1000 times and the articles just sit there. There's no way Google is going to let websites which allow this kind of rampant spam to pass ranking authority. If you are going to use article directories, pick only the ones that actually review your article.

Bookmarking is good if you're doing it with the higher quality bookmarking sites, i.e. stay away from pligg sites and low PR junk sites.

Old methods only work well with niches where your competition are using the same methods, i.e. low competition. Niche matters, not all niches are the same, the more mainstream it is the more difficult the old spam-link methods will be.

^ that is why most of you fail to get even decent results - you do not pay attention to details

You should think about your own private blog network... :)
