Other people will ( or may ) see your post if they search the posts using the keywords of your hashtag (#keyword). I've tried a few times, but didn't get any traffic.

When some one Clicks on that hastag, they will be Seeing All Posts from people who use that hash tag.

Click on that hash tag and you will know.

It could be because those hash tags are used by many more big and verified pages and they rank higher than yours.

I have also been feeling puzzled about the use of hashtags on Facebook. I mean, I can see people using them for their businesses and for their concerns when it comes to their social lives. However, I don't see its relevance when it comes to ranking pages and the likes.

    Linking advantages...
Since hashtags basically started on Twitter, more of these are used by Twitter users on the platform. Once Facebook is linked to Twitter, there will be a combination of tweets and updates coming from users on both platforms. Facebook can capitalize on the fact that it has twice as many users compared to Twitter.

If you can target a trending hashtag, you are likely to get more traffic on Facebook to your most recent posts. This idea could work if your story is highly related or covers a unique angle of the subject.

Although I agree with everybody else here, I think hashtags are more suited for Twitter and Instagram than for Facebook. Whenever I see people using hashtags in their posts on Facebook it immediately gives me the feeling that it is a spam message. But really, it depends on what your page / person is about and what your goal with the page / person is.
