Just wondering if it's still MS? Or something else? I heard travis traffic has some issues missing out on some things.

I use Ultimate Niche Finder and have found more golden keywords than I know what to do with with this. Highly recommended piece of kit and support/updates are also brilliant.

I use niche finder.....gives you information about the keywords and also shows you available domain names related to the keyword!

I used to use market samurai however it is so damn slow. Now i use adwords keyword tool. However i find seo competition module in market samurai to be great help - it fetches data from majestic seo so that you save on paying 30$+ every month just to see some backlinks.

Another vote for Ultimate Niche Finder. It's great for super quick research. I'm still looking for an equivalent for in depth keyword research (and Market Samurais is not it!)

I use traffic travis but its not 100% true when it says "easy" rankability. But it sometimes helps, if you know how combine it with your brain + adwords tool.

I read wonderful and effective results with SECockpit. The layout of it after a specific result is so right on it is ready to commence the next stage of finding domains for it. But this is an web only service and it has a monthly hefty price. Anybody recommend anything similar for desktop?

I think the absolute BEST tool for keyword research will always be Google AdWords Keyword Tool.
