I submitted many sites to dmoz none of them get accepted. Even though some of them are very high quality corporate sites. And I see that people talk great deal about dmoz link.

Its one pr8 link. I believe you can get that easily in other ways. Is there anything I'm missing?

It's not automated. All links that are submitted are manually checked. Google doesn't have time to manually check all links, so they rely on Dmoz to do that.

Link from Dmoz is a stamp of approval

you get authority by listing in DMOZ, not link juice like with other PR8

but with all the corrupt editors i believe google will diminish that listing and give authority PAID directories (like yahoo) more importance in the future

if you really got corporate sites with good funds then 300$ per year to get listed in yahoo might do some good
