I have been a lurker here for a long time but have learned so much.

This is really a shot in the dark but I thought I would post this here and see what your brilliant minds would do.

I have a targeted niche and have built a system out to gather leads for this niche. Now that I know I can provide these leads how would you go about signing up clients on a pay per lead basis?

Right now I am thinking I would just cold email first day and then call the second. If they do not answer I will call back one time and then move on to the next one?

Here is a sample script I am modifying and sending to each prospect:

    Code:
[FONT=arial]My name is <name>and I am an internet marketer based out of
    <location>.

I specialize in online sales and leads generation. Lately I have been
    exploring the <niche> industry.

I am able to get targeted leads of people looking for wedding dj in
    <location>.

My question is how much is how much to charge. What would a hot lead
be worth to you? I am looking at offering these on a per lead basis.

Please let me know your thoughts when you have a chance. As a thank
you gift I have a free lead for you I just received today.

    E-Mail: [email protected]
    Name:
    General Info

Please let me know as soon as you get this.
    [/FONT]
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your brother in black hat money making.

First, can you deliver results locally for them? Second, you are sounding just like the other 99.99% that are spamming them to death daily. I do marketing and my biggest mistake was not knowing how to talk to the boss and show him the results.

You are begging to give you something before you did anything for them. That won't fly

Your mail wouldn't pass my BS scan read and I would think "another Nigerian Prince".
Leads generation is a 100% guaranteed ROI service and has to be sold as something exclusive.
Here is what a brilliant mind posted a while back on BHW covering exactly what you are after.

I'm sure it will help you bring you an extra twist for your niche while cold contacting people:

I don't think you'll get many hits with that pitch OP.

I'd skip the email, do a bit of research on each business you'll be contacting, and call them directly first. Set up a Skype meeting or something. Tell them on the phone you'll get them a few free leads, to encourage them to actually chat with you again. You can discuss the cost later over Skype.

I agree with the other posters. Don't like the email. I would be more direct about it

Hi I'm <name>. I have <quantity> hot leads who are looking for <service> right now in <city>
    Give me a call if you're interested at <phone number>. If I don't hear back by <tomorrows date>, I'm sending this email to your competitors: company-a, company-b, and company-c.

Input some sence of urgency in there.

As for the rate, find out what they usually bill (call them pretending you need a wedding dj if it's not explicitly stated) and ask for a double digit % of it. Whatever seems fair to you. You can always negotiate. Once you do get a rate, contact the competition and say "Your competitor company-a is buying x leads for $y each. I'm willing to sell them to the highest bidder".

Many thanks for this. I think I remember reading this a long time ago. Look forward to putting this into use if I try direct mail.

I have tried a few emails and the open rates have been terrible. Going to stick to phone this week and see how that goes.
