Without even trying. There have been countless times where I suggested for somebody to do something that may benefit them, or wanted to show them something and they reply with "Oh, no I can't do that. It's too hard". Come on now. Seriously? Whether it be professional acrobatics or making five bucks online nobody can do anything until they have legitimately attempted it. That means doing more than half-assing it once and claiming it can't be done. So, unless you have some type of mental or physical impairment that limits your ability, stop saying you can't do things! A much better alternative would be to say, I don't know or I'll try. There's nothing wrong with not knowing, but being lazy, ignorant and not willing to learn is unacceptable. Moral: Don't try to save face by refusing to do something that you might fail at. Do something that you will fail at and learn how not to fail again. Discuss.
