    Hello,

I have a website which is my main income site. I don't know what is happening to its search engine rankings. Few months before my website was hosted on a dedicated IP with a host and they have changed the IP by migrating me on a new server and gave me a reason that they are upgrading the servers. After that my website become boosted in google and the number of search engine visitors become double. My website was performing well in seo and after few days that host staff threw my website from dedicated IP to shared IP without my permission as I was paying for the dedicated IP too with my hosting. And sent me an email after this that you can only able to get a dedicated IP if your website has a valid reason for it that is SSL cert.

From that time my website is continuously going down in Google. I am very much worried because it is my main income site. All the content on my site are unique and also I update it with unique contents two times a week but still it is going down in search engine.

I am unable to figure out why it is going down as it got unique and quality content.

Please suggest what can I do for it.

Mate, you need backlinks, build more of them to maintain or increase your rankings.

I realise you are trying to be helpful but how can you give that advice without more information?

First of all OP, if you are having problems with your host then you should consider moving.
What SEO have you carried out?

Not done much seo for it. I only did link exchange with 3 to 4 similar niche sites few years back.

OP you gotta get back to a dedicated IP asap. I won't go in details why to have your site on dedicated IP. If you host tells you, that you need SSL to have a dedicated IP tell them to GFT. HostGator, NameCheap and other will gladly take you on board.

I actually just purchased a dedicated IP for my hosting. What exactly are the advantages? It only costed an extra $2 so I went a long with it.

Competition tends to blacklist an IP to get SERPs to be increased.Try to get a hosting that takes all this responsability. Like WPEngine. They are kind of expensive compared to a VPS, but VPS sometimes its harder to mantain. I got them both, and I have migrated sites from my VPS with private IPs to WpEngine and I have seen improvements. But this is just my experience.

If you are on a share IP and the IP has been flagged, your site could be affected. But only do dedicated IP's for high quality value websites or if you building your own private network. Witch in case of the OP, his site is a good one affected by a shared IP.

Yeah, get back to dedicate IP and if you wanna rank your website in Google, then start on page seo. Also, you may focus on social media networking if you want real traffic.
