I am using IBP to check all status of my website.

Alexa =1, Google=0, Yahoo=0


What is this? how i can increase this?


Do building backlinks will increase this number?
as i already have 1500 backlinks to my website.

Global Link Popularity (often referred to as GLP) simply refers to a site's overall link authority. Its calculation is based on all the links pointing towards your site from absolutely anywhere on the web, taking into account both quality and sheer amount of links.

It's a very important factor in determining your site's ranking. Google understands that useful sites get linked to time and time again, often by major websites, irrelevant or incorrect ones don't. Hence, it lends a lot of importance to incoming links. However, here's the important bit, it lends even more importance to the quality of those links. This is the problem with simply chasing GLP, since GLP takes quantity into account as well.

The quality of the links matters to the extent that if your site was to have a few good links from big sites it would rank higher than an identical site with many times the number of poorer more obscure links. For this reason it's very important to make sure that you spend your time encouraging links from the big players in your field, rather than simply chasing a high GLP by attracting many weak links.

so what kind of backlinks will increase this? as i have already submitted to a lot of directories, already posted backlink comments in various do follow blogs, already create a few angela and paul method's backlinks.
