generally footprints means tracks left by something..

i assume you found footprints about different platforms.. well, in that case footprints are something like identifiction mark for a certain type of platform..

Footprint can be anything which allows others to track you down. Say using multiple accounts from the same computer without clearing cookies/cache would let the server know that all the accounts are opened/accessed from the same computer by tracking the cookies which stores information about each account.

Footprints is what's left behind on your system after visiting a site and performing a variety of actions. I suggest you to use CCleaner to avoid issues.

oh wow, so many different explanations.. !!

    i thought footprints were either:

    1) things like "powered by vbulletin", etc..

    or

    2) leaving all sorts of evidence that you are spamming, especially if you have a network of sites

Wow so many different explanations that my head starts to spin. ;D Lets put it in an example, like footprints for scrapebox. How do Footprints help you working with scrapebox, and where do you get them?

"SEO Footprint: An SEO footprint is the imprint a search engine optimizer leaves on the web that can be used to trace his/her activity through various sites. It can be used to locate multiple accounts and multiple sites he/she owns. An SEO footprint is an obvious sign of search engine manipulation and can be used to by Google or competition to rip apart his/her network."
