I like looking around at different hosting companies to compare prices, speed, quality, etc.

Right now I use WebHostingHub. The support is great, and overall I'm happy with the quality of the service.

    So what's your favorite?

I use Hosthoot, never had a problem, support is fast but haven't needed them that often, they migrated all of my sites from Hostgator for me for free and I pay yearly which is very cheap :) I only moved because Hostgator went really bad when they were taken over but I have no regrets!

Hostnine is good is you are planning to host multiple websites. I have also used hostgator in past and decided to stop using it. Too expensive and there are much better options for the same price.

One of my favorite now is site5. (I am using 40+ hosting companies and they are my absolute favourite), I moved some of hostgator accounts to them as they provide painless migration for free. I have 2 VPS and tons of dedicated ips (tons of countries you can choose from, some IP from Asian countries more expensive though). Their support is crazily active, it normally takes them within an hour, most of the time a few minutes to reply to my tickets, no kidding. Then they will keep update me the progress even tasks are not done, highly recommended.

I use MDD Hosting. I decided to leave Hostgator and these guys transferred my sites free of charge. Overall I am very satisfied with their service and support as well... I just went over some of the "high priority" support tickets I`ve opened in the past and the average response time was under 5 minutes, which is kinda crazy.

I was with Hostgator for years but after the EIG takeover I tried a few different hosting companies and I've now settled with Site5 as my main host. Never had a single problem with them so far.

I use Hostgator for my business website, Freehostia for my new websites, and HostWinds for my experiment websites. As for which one I like the most, I think HostWinds has the best "bang for your buck" due to its speed and prices.

hawkhost about $30/year and you get 1gb ram/1core you can fully use which is hard limited and the speeds are also great .
I have had sites that get 50k+ uniques/day and they were doing just fine.

Previously had hostgator, didnt had problems but switched because of price, but now hostgator has turned crap.

I use nexhost.net , they use CNservers data center.

Amazing ddos protection for shared hosting prices, I host ALL my sites on it. Not even trying to plug it, its great!

I have used a fair few different ones for PBN and money sites, but the best for me so far in terms of support and service is TSO host.

i have used many over the years and these are the good ones: site5 (daring and caring), asmallorange (the only EIG that doesn't suck, the best support ever) and a2hosting (very stable and reliable for medium traffic usage). for high traffic websites i go by OVH the best dedicated servers on the web.

Hostgator is a pretty awesome host, or at least they used to be, I haven't used them in over 3 years. But when I used them I was able to rack up 3TB of bandwidth usage on the regular shared hosting without any notices from them. I only got kicked when they got a DMCA notice over some images I was hosting, and it wasn't for receiving the DMCA it was because I was running an image host.

Still using Hostgator after all these years. Their support is total crap, but the price is cheap and I rarely have problems on my shared server setups.
