What is e-whoring?

Hope this is the right place to post this in.. I thought it would look even more noobish posting it in other sections.
I've been trying to find out what e-whoring means but I still can't figure it out. Could somebody explain what it stands for?

it is where by you pretend to be someone you are not and chat people up kind of and get them to sign up for offers that make you money - for example to sign up to a cam site so they can see you on cam which they never will but who cares - this should be in the ewhoring section
