I think the forum generator is less a resource hog am i right?

I'd say phpBB and WordPress are two different monsters. Forums allow for dynamic, changing content which is good for bringing search engine spiders back frequently. WordPress is finely-tuned for SEO purposes and there are quite a few plug-ins that make tracking and statistics easy. Also, if I remember correctly CaffeinatedWorld is a BHW user's service. Maybe they'll see this and reply.

yeah i know they are very different, but for me they serve the same purpose. myself, i think ill go for the forum approach now, cause its less popular.

You can also have forum in Wordpress by using plugion called BBpress - for sure it's less functional than phpBB or vBulletin, but that way u can combine a spamblog and spamforum
