    Hi everybody!

I am in the process of building a new website. I would like to have your expert opinion concerning the setup of the homepage from SEO point of view.

I saw a lot of well PR-ranked websites having a non-static homepage. I am not talking about the URL but the content. Instead of having a static content with 1500 words (for example) that focuses on a certain keyword, they have a homepage with the last posts (images, a part of the text, etc...). I was wondering if that last option was good for on-page SEO for a new site.

So the question is: static content (about 1500 words with images) or dynamic page (which I think is better for the visitors, they can directly find what is fresh, new) for a new website?

It's possible to have somewhat of a mixture. Hence if you put some static text with the keywords you are targeting and some dynamic parts (think tweeter feeds, sliders, offers, etc).
